So I know this is a very controversial situation and every single mom has their own opinion. But I was warned that the flu this year is the worst it has ever been and that I should consider the shot because I am pregnant. My doctor said he has never lost a baby because of the flu shot but has lost several babies because mothers did not get their flu shot and unfortunately, most babies can not survive the flu virus. Therefore, I did tons of research and listed the pros and cons. Not only did I find that the pros outweigh the cons but also moms who have their flu shot while pregnant have a baby that has a stronger immune system in the first six months of life. I, of course, opted for the prenatal flu shot which doesn't have the mercury levels that a regular flu shot has. Thanks Target!
Unfortunately, our travel schedule was already booked for the balance of the year and we were not able to fit in a Baby Moon unless we wanted to travel in February. Not such a good idea considering this babe is due in March. I did not want to push it and take the chance of delivering early on some random island. Going into labor is scary enough. That's when we decided to take advantage of the fact that we had a wedding in Cartagena and we "Baby Mooned" it up. I had a great time lounging around at the rooftop pool and sipping lemonada de coco's all day. It was the perfect "Faux Baby Moon".
We opted for a 3D image of the babe this week. It was kind of hard because she kept covering her face with her little hands but we finally got one. It's so awesome to see her facial features now that she looks like a real baby and no longer an alien. I just love her so much already. I can't wait to hold her in my arms.
We received tons of diapers from the Colombian Shower so we are set for diaper dooty. For a long time at least.
